The design of this light is good the brushed metal finish looks nice, and the low-profile design keeps the light well hidden below a cabinet. But the light is not at all "bright" as advertised. It has two levels of brightness high and low but even the high is not enough to really light up properly.

I bought the style that comes with an AC adapter, and found that if you use only the adapter (not installing any batteries), the two-way lighting level switch only provides the low-level lighting, regardless of which way you press the switch. Only after installing batteries would the switch provide both the high and low light levels.

The problem with that is that I bought this light to install under a loft bed and over the child's desk that is below the bed. I purchase this light specifically because of the adhesive velcro installation option as the furniture I am using it with is high-end and I did not want to use any screws in the finish.

However, because I had to install the batteries and it takes a total of 6 AA batteries in order to get the light to function on the high setting, the weight of the fixture exceeded the adhesive velcro tab's ability to stay glued to the wood surface, and the light fixture kept falling down.

Long story short, I had to screw it in anyway, and if I had known that from the outset that the light level was so low, I would have ordered a light that really provided proper light levels for reading and working at a desk, and just planned to have to screw it up from the git-go.

I needed a light over my workbench and I thought this would be a good item as I could direct the light where I wanted it. There is not enough light coming from this to read a book, yet alone light up my projects. Im very disappointed. I guess LED still has a way to go to become a true light.

Bought this light to put in my closet. Thinking I would replace a bare light bulb with something slightly nicer. But all four lights give off about the equivalent of a 25watt light bulb. I installed it during the day and could hardly even tell there was any light emanating from this fixture. I'd say this product is only good if you can install it within 2-3 feet of what you are trying to light. And even then it's not going to do much in the daylight.

Very cool concept, but the light is very weak. Gives off about as much light as four little key chain LED lights. Not at all what i was expecting for my closet. Still the track light design is really nice, just wish they had stronger LED's in the pucks.

May keep for emergency purposes and camping, but the light output is too low for most household purposes. Still undecided if I am going to keep them or not. With the cost of shipping them back.. I probably will keep them, but if I had purchased them at a local store... they would definately be going back.

Would only recommend for things like a tent light when camping in a small tent... or for emergency purposes because of the battery option.

if you are lookig to light a large area you might onsider buying 2 or 3 and hooking them together. good for small direct lighting
