Got two strands. Works as advertised and I cannot complain considering the price. Liked it and decided to order two more strands. Makes life simple as I do not have to worry about plugging the lights into the outlet and turning them on and off every day. It turns on automatically whenever the solar panel is not charging(when it gets dark) and stays on until the battery runs out or sunrise which ever comes first. There is a single LED for each icicle and the icicle is a flimsy plastic shell the slip on to the LED. When I got them I was a bit disappointed with the size of the icicles but the icicles are as advertised as being 4 inches long so take a ruler to make sure you realize how big they are going to be. It comes with a AA 600 mAH rechargeable NiMH battery which I replaced with a 2800 mAH rechargeable NiMH battery that I had around for use in my Wii controllers so that it would be fine should it run into a few cloudy days. It does mean the lights will be on the whole night but these lights are not very bright and since it is solar one does not need to worry about turning it off to save electricity. Be sure to turn it on(switch in the back of the solar panel). You can check that it is on by covering the solar panel which will cause the lights to come on. Basically if the panel is not charging the lights will come on. I have these on the gutter and mounted the solar panel on the gutter as well. The panel is 3"x3" and very light so you can hang it on gutter. By the way the lights do not come with any means for hanging them on the gutter so you do need to get the hangers seperately.
