In my search for the perfect night light I missed this light on Amazon. I purchased it at Home Depot. It is called Theater NiteLite because the LED soft light lights up the walkway of a room and not the room. Perfect for any room in the house, but especially the bedroom where you do not want to light up the room, just the floor. The light has a photo cell which shuts off the light in the day, and automatically turns the light on when it is dark. We purchased many night lights over the years and this light is our favorite! Other night lights are either too bright, or too dim, and none offered diffused light, and a spray of soft light stretching out along the floor. This night light we find perfect!

These provide much brighter lighting than I expected from a night light!. Friends and family no longer need to turn the lights on in our bathrooms to see at night. Works great in our gloomy utility room as well. It "senses" when a room darkens enough to need additional lighting and also turns off automatically when the room has enough light from other sources (natural light, overhead lighting, etc)

I was surprised by the amount of floor or counter space these light up, providing a nice wide arc of brightness, with a soft glow extending as far as the hallway outside our bathroom. As a result, at night we can walk from a bedroom, down the hall, and into the bathroom without flipping a single light switch.

A super energy saving alternative! The sleek, clean lines are a bonus.

It is a little too bright for my tastes but illuminates a dark 12' hallway very well. The daylight sensor is sensitive enough to turn off the light on cloudy days...requires a bright sunny day. Would be better if there was a sensitivity adjustment. Overall I am pleased.

This nightlight is great it throws enough light to be useful. It doesn't cover both outlet plugs, as long as it's plugged into the bottom plug. It may be a bit bright for a sleeping area but it's a life saver on stairs, etc. And it's LED so it should last a lifetime!
