I have been a loyal buyer of Hunter fans for several years. They are dependable, quiet, and easy to balance. This one does not disappoint. However, I am disappointed with the LED lighting. The LED light is dim and too cool. It's worse than fluorescent in temperature. We hung this in our bedroom, and the lighting is sterile and uncomfortable. The light may be fine for a kitchen or basement.

When I purchased the fan, I had thought it came with LED bulbs, but instead the LED lights are part of the fixture. To get warmer lights, I would have to get a new light fixture for the fan. I like the energy savings and life of LED lighting, but wish I had known that replacement means new lighting fixture.

PROS:

Very quiet and reliable.

Energy saving LED lighting.

CONS:

LED lighting temperature is cold and sterile.

LED lights are part of the fixture (not separate bulbs). I imagine they are expensive to replace, or switch with different lights.

Be sure you find a showroom to check out the lighting yourself before purchasing a fan with LED lights. Make sure you're comfortable with the warmth of the lighting before purchasing. LEDs like CFLs come in many different temperatures and configurations. Make sure this is right for you.

This ceiling fan looks great, and the fan works great, but the LED light is disappointingly dim. It's a series of small LED lights under the light shade, which turn on fast, but just don't quite light the whole room. And since I can't just change the lightbulb, I'll either have to return it, or add more lights. Still waiting for a great LED ceiling fan.

It's SO quiet!!! Don't expect a bright light btwit probably gives off the equivalent of 60 watts, but it's great for me and my husband b/c all we had was our nightstand lights. The fan is stylish, quiet, and each (3) speed gets air moving just right. I would highly recommend this fan. I was, however, disappointed I couldn't find this same fan in a bigger size; I would have added it to other rooms. It does NOT come with a remote, either. BUT the manufacturer has a few different ones that are compatibleso check with them to verify, then buy it on Amazon.com.

I bought this fan based on its looks and the companies reputation. I'm a little disappointed because it doesn't spin very fast. The high speed is equivalent to the medium speed of my other fan. The other thing I don't like is it's not compatible with my existing dimmer switch. LED lights don't dim, my bad. This may also be causing the slower fan speed but I'm not ready to change out the wall switch. I thought about these details before I purchased it but the ads never include enough technical information.
