These lights are very bright, have very handy adjustments (sensitivity and duration), have a rather cool looking bluish hue to them, and give a vide wide angle of illumination. They only get 4 stars because they don't come with a sealing gasket of any kind. The instructions indicating you should caulk once attached to the electric receptacle. Depending on where you're installing them, it is possibly not convenient to visually confirm a consistent caulk seal all the way around the housing. Also the housing is just about an inch too large to use with standard sized exterior light brackets (that come pre-cut to fit over shingles). I had to get the extra large mounting plate, which is not cut to fit over shingles, meaning an extra step in the installation process. I have a relatively large yard front and back, and only one light fixture on front/back of the house, so I went for the 3 bulb version of this light. It looks like the 2 bulb version comes with a weather seal gasket, and would mount on a standard sized wall plate. I would strongly recommend using that version unless you have a real need for the extra wide/bright coverage.

Bought two of these lights from local HD awhile ago now for the backyard and they are great. No problems with them so far. Very bright and the sensor picks up movement very good. High price which I was not to sure about paying, but now that they have been up I think it was well worth it. Can do anything in the backyard at night now, almost like daytime, I said almost. Kids can play, wife feels a little safer knowing the lights are up and extremely bright. Thinking of buying 1 or 2 for my parents house.

Saw this in Home Depot while I was walking down the lighting aisle, and that thing just turned on and almost blinded me right there in the well-lit Home Depot store. At first I hesitated about the price, but I have a spotlight that had been a total irritant, not enough light, not sensitive enough triggering ... so I figured, I can bring it back if I don't like it ... and I got it.

I love this thing. If anything enters my backyard that thing snaps on and the whole area lights up with a brilliant daylight. I have it on my detached garage, and as soon as I begin to open the back door by the time I get it open the floodlight has turned on ... this is perfect for an emergency.

I am going to get another one at some point, but the price is high so I will wait until it comes down to something reasonable. but these so outperform the regular floodlights in every way, and they look good ...

Oh ... the one thing I am not crazy about is that large back opening ... it does not fit any kind of external can that I could find at Home Depot ... if you put it on a regular round one the back is open to the elements unless the can is sunk into the wall ... but still I like it. This is one of the first LED devices that is really useful. While its on it only uses 30 watts ... it's like a tennis court at night ... I'm telling you these are very impressive. It was easy to install and use. One of my best purchases this year.

Motion Detector Fails to Detect Motion

The light is bright when it is on, unfortunately I am unable to get it to detect motion. From the reviews I have read this is a common problem. Test the one you get thoroughly in an area you can replace easily before having this installed in a high place and before paying an electrician to do the install. I plan to take mine back to HD and get another. Hopefully I have better luck with the next unit.

Mounting Block

A stanard mounting block does not fit. Several reviewers have commented on this topic but I failed to understand the issue until I started reviewing the installation.

I give it a 1 STAR rating for now. I may change my mind to 3 stars if the next unit works out the box.

Probably The biggest piece of junk I have ever encountered in

all my life. First one, nothing worked except for continuous

light. Even red sensor light would not come on / detect.

Customer service at Lithonia Lighting was a joke. Try to place blame

on installation / electrician. Decided to return it and get a replacement.

SECOND UNIT, worked for three nights then stopped working correctly.

Motion detector lights would flicker but never fully work again. Very erratic.

Bought another LED motion brand, worked on first try! Stay away from this brand.
