Bought this for my full sized USP 45, Overall, I'm pretty happy with it, its easy to turn on/off and switch modes from laser to light to laser and light. The one fault with this product is that even with the clamp on as tightly as possible it still would move or wiggle in the grove. No so much as to ruin accuracy at close range but it is a little annoying especially for the amount of money this costs.

I have used many Streamlight products and have come to expect a pretty high level of quality and workmanship with their stuff. This item continues my trust in Streamlight and works as I expected it to, after reading many reviews on Amazon. Only issue I had was the lack of rail keys with this particular model, and that was my own fault for not reading that keys were not supplied with this model, clearly explained on the narrative describing the item. Rather than return the item for one that included keys, I simply spent a few dollars and bought them from a vendor, other than Amazon, who did not list them for sale. Not a big deal to me. The light/laser fits just like it is supposed to fit, adjusts as described in the instructions and I was able to zero the laser to coincide with my optical scope at 52 yards, precisely where I want it. Having read that some folks had issues with stripping the laser adjustment screws, I proceeded with due caution and "coaxed" the initial movement of same so as to avoid any such problems. It worked! Also worth mentioning, my laser dot does move around ever so slightly when handling the weapon since it is mounted on a rail that is mounted to the front hand guard, which I have my vertical grip mounted to as well. Once again, not an issue for me since it does not move the dot very much at all and well within the margin of acceptable error for my purposes. When the weather becomes tolerable I'll take the weapon to the range and determine how the light/laser stands up to recoil, which is ultimately the telling test.

I have this product five stars (well I really want 4.5) because of it's simplicity of use, installation, and overall brightness and power. I have a Full Size USP .45 (which is stated for anyone who purchases this) and installed it onto the piccany rail. However, when I first put it on, I put it semi-tight, but after a few rounds down the range, this has gotten loose due to the kickback from the gun itself. So I've used a coin and tighten it really tight. Now, I can't ever get it off. I usually soak my handguns in soappy water to give it a good toothbrush scrub under water to free heavy debris, but unfortunetly I cannot do that anymore.

Now about the product-

There switch allows for 3 settings Laser / Light / Laser+Light. I have tested this at night outside, the light is super bright, something Streamlight is known for. Also, the laser is strong, but not too strong to where intruders can see where the laser beam pattern through mid air. However during shooting indoors at the range, you can actually see the laser beam as smoke is in the air. It gets a lot of attention. I must warn whoever that gets this that you pretty much HAVE TO "zero" YOUR LASER IN! To do this, there is a section of instructions on how to, however, I recommend firing from a still point such as a bean bag where your chances of arm sway is out of question. I have zero'd my laser in to 25 yards, quite simply because I am using this weapon as a home defense.

The black switch, On/Off is triggered from both sides. The left side gives you personally time to leave it on or off, in which sometimes I put my left thumb (I'm a right hand shooter) and place it on the left side so I can disorient anyone by flashing the bright light. To leave the light/laser on, simply push the right side down and it will lock in place.

The only reason why I'd give it a 9.5/10 rather than 10/10 is because I wished they had redesigned the front light area with more overhead protection. When shooting rounds, the lead dust will cover your light and laser. I hope they will make some kind of guard to limit the debris down a bit.

Anyways bottom line, amazing productrecommend it to anyone and everyone.

I bought this primarily for home defense to be installed on my HK USP 45 full size. The full size requires a full length clamp which this model has. The light is brighter than expected for the price but not as bright as the more expensive units. One addition that would make this a better buy would be a grip switch. The switch is somewhat awkward to turn on and may be difficult in a emergency situation.
