The era of LED lighting is here. I will probably never buy another incandescent or CFL bulb. While far more expensive, the lifetime of these bulbs should make it worth it. And when you add in the energy savings and not having to worry about the mercury in CFL bulbs, there's really no reason not to go with LED bulbs anymore as long as you get them for the right price. I have 3 of these in ceiling fixture that came with CFL bulbs. These easily give off as much light as the CFL bulbs and have the benefit of being dimmable which is the main thing that had me give them a try as there was just too much light before. I have these set to around 85% and they're perfect. And I can't even hear any discernible hum which can often plague dimmed fixtures. Based on specs, these are the best GU24 LED bulbs that I could find. The only reason I gave these 4 stars instead of 5 is that I also got a few of the Philips L Prize award winning bulbs in the same shipment for use in other fixtures and those bulbs are enough better that I reserve 5 stars for them. The only real negative about these Feit bulbs is that they only give off light forward of the bulb. There's no surrounding light. This is a problem that the Phillips bulbs have somehow resolved. But if looking for a GU24 style bulbe, you will not be disappointed with this unless you specifically need 360 degree light dispersion for some reason.

This is the GU-24 LED bulb that actually fits in sockets and dims correctly. I have tried all the CFL dimmables (none worked) and the Philips 418590 17-Watt A21 LED w/ an adapter but it is already very long and the adapter makes it too long to be usable.
I have heard that Feit isn't a great brand, but it is the only one that works. Fingers crossed that it will keep working and doesn't fail.

Burned out within 2 weeks of installing it in a floor lamp. Hopefully just a defective product, but nevertheless I would not recommend.

With the new phosphors they use, the color of light is getting pretty good.
Instant in, good brightness and color. Good/even spread of light around the room.
And all for next to no power consumption.
I'm finally on board now. Been replacing most of the house lights with LED's.

The bulb was purchased for a dimmable ceiling fanthe bulbs are very heavy and much larger than the compact fluorescent that came with the fan--they are too big the the light globe to fit onto the fan. Very disappointed.
