Works great as a flash light and flood light to light up large area like the back of my pickup truck. I would recommend it.

I bought this flashlight locally during the Sandy storm and it was really useful. it is a great emergency light and just a great flashlight with all the bells and whistlesstrong magnet nice stand/hook I also used it to change a tire and it's really cool the way I was able to attach the light above the tire by using the strong magnetic bottom.

This is my primary work light for field work. The compact size with the retractable light plus the retractable hook makes this fit nicely in my bag. The magnetic base is very handy for when you need both hands, the hook also comes in handy although I don't use it as much as I do the magnet. The forward facing flashlight mode does come in handy although not very bright or a long throw but it works.

This light has an auto stop charging system so you can plug it in and leave it (the older magnalite you have to monitor it and unplug it after a few hours). I found a universal power adapter that has a 6v 1.2A and a plug that fits the connector on the light so I can have a charger with me and at home.

Few complaints with the light

1. There is no battery life indicator. The LED's usually get dim/dull then shortly after it will go out on you. The light has died on me several times in the middle of the job. Its probably best if you charge this every time after heavy usage.

2. No replaceable battery packs like the gyros magnalite has (it takes this light awhile to fully charge up)

3. The fixed position of the light can sometimes make it hard to adjust to where you are working. The gyros magnalite has a flex head which is nice but you can't have everything.

4. I tend to turn off the light and stick the light to metal surfaces when I'm done and forget it. I usually have to go searching for it after (I know its my fault)

battery goes dead too quickly!!!!!!!magnets on bottom of base are very weak and do not hold strong to metal surfaces!!
