Review of Dark Grey Lightingale Lamp by Streamline
We wanted to illuminate a few spots in the house where a standard night light wouldn't work because there were no outlets. We didn't want any of the stick-up ones because they are ugly and are motion detectors, which wasn't functional for us. We wanted the path illuminated for my husband, an amputee who is on crutches if he gets up during the night and would like to see where the crutch tip is going to go before it's placed motion detectors do a great job of illuminating where you've already put it down which is just a fraction of a second too late be useful for his purposes. Instead, we have three of these which provide a small amount of continuous light and are enough to navigate by. They're bigger than I thought they'd be even though the description is clear that these are about 5" tall, wide and long. I think they'd be cuter if they were an inch or two smaller in each direction but I find that I do like them as is. They color in the photo looks dark grey, but it's really much more of a metallic-grey. Battery consumption is pretty good as we've been leaving these on for days at a time the switch is underneath and we've been too lazy to turn them off in the morning and it hasn't drained the batteries on them yet. As an added bonus, when the power goes out at night we both have the lightingales to navigate by.
