We bought this to replace one a workman broke doing yard cleanup. "Red tones" is an apt description most of the light coming out of it is white. The light is very weak and does not last more than an hour or so. I am in Texas, and we get a lot of sunshine, but the thing just doesn't charge well.

It is a cheaply made product. The red is unevenly applied to the inside. Tiny LED, very blue LED. Seems like they tried to make it as cheap as possible. Do not know what you would do with it. More like a kids toy. I am recoating the inside with cherry stain, poly spray. Will also add a LED votive tea candle inside for use. Kind of big and clunky, guess you could use the base with a tea candle.or votive candle.Rather have it run on more batteries and give more light. Buy this for your kid as fun night glow, it will not be bright. IF IT WAS MADE OF RED GLASS, WOULD BE BETTER. The LED amount of light is so small, what would u use it for other than fun...
