I really like this night light. It gives off a soft blue light that is just enough to make an intensely dark room have some light. It will not light up an entirle hallway, but gives off enough light to help you naviagte your way in the dark.

When you walk into the room with this night light you can see the light but it doesn't have any residual light showing the room. The rest of the room is pitch black so I don't understand why you would want to use this.
