I tried to read with these and it tends to reflect a bit of glare, which bugs me. But it's doable (though I prefer to use the clip on lights better). But there are so many uses this thing is great for going outside at night if I need to do something and have my hands free, sticking it under the cough or heavy cabinets to check for toys, illuminating birdhouses to check on chicks, etc... I love it I don't know if it's called that somewhere, but we call it the Medusa light since it looks like two snakes around your neck. :)

Purchased for my husband for doing jobs where "hands free light" is needed. This was a stocking stuffer for last christmas... I will be back for more as those who have seen it, covet it. Great little hands free light! Light weight & well-made. I'm sure it would be excellent for reading as well, lol!

Our baby sleeps with us and on the nights I don't fall right asleep with her I often write in a journal. I tried using the flashlight on my phone but that wasn't convenient to hold. This product solved my problem. Very bright LED light is easily twisted away from my baby's face and pointed only to page. Very lightweight; can barely feel it around my neck. Love this product.

I don't know how anyone would have given this a decent review. It is built extremely cheap and is defective as soon you as open the box. The green cover around the wires pulls out of the center body of the flashlight immediately exposing bare wires. It shorted out within a day. Trust me, this isn't just the luck of the draw on the one I bought. They are built defective so I'm guessing the positive reviews were from someone inside the company or that the person didn't notice the green covering pulling away exposing the bare wires.

I have purchased 3 of them from different sellers, but they don't last long. I think they are cheaply built, and so cheaply priced. Not worth the hassel.
