Purchased (13) 4-packs to illuminate our large staircase at night. They're outstanding and do the job well....BUT....totally failed in the adhesive department. They were rendered useless on our heavily textured walls and dropped off by the dozen the first few days. I followed their instructions (to the letter) even went so far as to use alcohol as a wall prep on the intended surface, to no avail.

Aside from the adhesion issues these are outstanding. They cast just the right amount of light on the stairs and the dawn to dusk sensors work perfectly. Even though they use the pricier coin batteries the energy drawn is minimal due to the use of LED.

I wanted a stairway lighting for safety, not very bright or dim. These lights are on the dim side. They at best glows by a light switch, that's all I can think of their uses. I've put two on each of the top and bottom steps. But I found in the middle of night I still don't see enough to be able to walk freely. I still left them where they are as cute decoration, but installed Hipo LED night light and am happy with it.

These are definitely tiny, about as big around as a quarter, but that makes them relatively unobtrusive.

They don't put out much light, but if they do last a year on battery as advertised, then that's fine with me. stairway that doesn't have any convenient electrical outlets for a nightlight.

I haven't had a problem with them coming off the wall as others have reported (but it's only been a week), I noticed that the tape on the back is Scotch Brand tape, so maybe they've upgraded to better tape.

I put these in pretty candle holders in my bedroom. At night, they light up like tea lights!

Also great in my Moroccan lantern.

Had to order another set. Trust me, get more than one set. You will find creative uses.

As for their traditional use, my daughter stuck one on her wall as a night light, and we have two others marking steps in the house. They work great.

I bought these so my wife wouldn't groggily bump into the door frame on her way to the bathroom. For the stated purpose, they are more than bright enough. It's a night light, after all...don't expect to read by them, that's not what they're for. A brighter light would just run the batteries down.

They are definitely small, but that can be a good thing, right? I wanted something unobtrusive, and the dimensions are clearly provided in the listing. The adhesive seems to stick quite well to a baseboard and would probably adhere to any flat surface. Consider that ease of removal might be a benefit when it comes time to change the battery.

They automatically turn on and off based on ambient light. I think they turn on a little too early, though. They will burn with my nightstand light on, for example. A dial to adjust this would be nice, but I suspect that would double both the price and the size.

You get four of them in a pack, and the batteries are included. If each unit truly runs "nearly a year" on one battery as the listing says, I'll be happy. If it doesn't, I'll come back and let you know.
