I have had this product in my south west window for a few years and I have never had any trouble with it , we had a short power outage tonight and it was a great help. just keep in mind it is not a room light ,but a flash light .... alway's there if you need it.

This light, and another design, are great because you have a fairly useful LED within reach for little needs. The light is not that powerful. I placed both the lights on the windowsill. Going to return this very average LED flashlight. The base/holder is super cheap/flimsy/stupid/lame.Not worth $14.
