I bought these tracks to keep rope lights in a straight line on the walls of my home theatre and they did the job very well. They are easy to attach just nail or screw them to the wall. (You could mount them with double-sided tape, but I wanted a more permanent installation.) Delivery was quick, and I'm pleased with the final result a very neat low ambient lighting effect.

The mounting track held the rope light very well but it lacked space for screw heads under the rope. This caused slight bumps in the linear run of the rope light at each screw location. Screwing it to outdoor surfaces is the only practical method of securing it. Double sided tape will not stand up to the sun and moisture. Pre-drilled holes would also have been nice to use. The track only needs to be made thicker with counter-sunk pre-drilled holes.

I installed about 75' of rope light under a pavilion using these tracks and some stainless steel screws from the hardware store. It was a lot of work but the result is great. The rope light is held in place firmly and can be positioned (most rope light is directional).

Not as tight of a fit as some other tracks that I got at Home Depot, but they do the job. I just screwed the tracks into the deck to secure them.

Worked out fine. Drill small holes and mounted it with small nails then Installed rope lights. Holding up fine and would purchase again.
