This was given to me to use in my sewing room. It is perfect. Because it is directable I can shoot the light down at the sewing presser foot & get perfect placement to see tricky seams. The magnet holds it firmly to my ironingboard when I'm measuring/marking dark fabric. It is an essential sewing tool. My husband borrows it for multiple uses--particularly for use when connecting computer or entertainment components. The light is bright. Because it is rechargeable it is always ready to use. A supurb item for every household. An excellent gift idea.

Nice drop light. Compact and gives off a lot of light. Could do without the bale on top. Removed the bail and installed a screw hook.

Great light, one of my favorite tools. Lasts several hours on a full charge before it starts dimming. Provides a pretty good amount of light in either mode. Yellow stands out.

Magnet in the bottom is kinda nice, but not strong enough to really stick it to something horizontally and have it stay put. It MIGHT hang upside down by the magnet, but I wouldn't count on it. It WILL hold it in place if you stick it on the frame under your hood or the edge of a computer case (careful with magnets in there), etc.

The joint is pretty stiff, and I don't anticipate it ever not holding it's position.

awesome light super bright and holds a charge for a really long time. you will not regret it, and the magnetic base is perfect.

This is a very bright and handy light. I use when repairing guns as parts are small nd places where they go are small and in hidden places. This light is very bright and the magnet allows me to place it where I have best light advantage. Handy, handy!!
