This light works well, and is a worthwhile purchase. I used it to replace an existing light that did not have motion sensor. I am very pleased with the results. It is possible to get this light for a couple of dollers less in town, but you would use that in gas for the average person just going to get the light. Only draw back to the light is that the bulb guards are relatively cheap, but you get what you pay for. If you want the super sturdy bulb guards you will need to shell out 50$-70$. I would purchase this light again.

4/2/11 There is no question in my mind, I would buy this light fixture again. Still works flawlessly, it has held up to the weather extremes of New England very well. I think that if I were to rate this agian now after all this time of use I would definately upgrade this item to 5 Stars.

This fixture was as described, very simple to install, what I did was position the lighting housing and sensor before installing the fixture. Don't know if it makes much of a difference but I thought it did, this way after installation you would have to make only small adjustments with positioning. Same for the sensor. The fixture fitted right on spot where the old lamp was, all that was need was connecting the wires and securing the fixture. Adjustments to the settings are quite simple. Good Product, very sensitive. The first one worked well for 6 months and then quit working after a heavy rain. When I installed the second one, I caulk sealed every possible leak of the light to make it water proof. For the first 5-6 months, it worked well. But shortly after, the rain would make it stop working for a couple of days. Now it quit working again completely after 3 years of interrupting service. The product carries a warranty of 10 years.So I called the customer service and got immediately transferred to technical support. I WAITED for over 30 minutes and finally got someone answered my call. The tech guy had an attitude and kept insisting me to use a black tape to cover the light sensor at the bottom of the motion sensor. He thought it was the strong ambient light that de-activated the daylight sensor. I told him that it is impossible because the motion light quit working during rainy nights when the ambient light was at lowest level. Finally, I followed his advice and go figure: the technical support is wrong! Even if I covered the senor with a black tape at night, the light still did not turn on.
Now I am going to wasting my time again and contact them for warranty services.
Try to avoid this product at all costs! Save your money and time for some better products. If you still want to buy it, keep your receipt and the original package for your return.

Don't expect this company's products to last very long. This is the same junk you can buy at Lowes and Home Depot. My first one lasted around 6 months, and I sent it back under the lifetime guarantee. I sent them a white fixture, and they sent me a brown one back. The second unit lasted a little over a month before the sensing unit would no longer work. I finally gave up and installed a simple two light floodlight bulb unit with no sensor. I turn it on manually a few times a year to light up the side of our house. The light fixture was easy to install and set up. It has been performing very well for a month now.
