This is a very tall bulb. I purchased it for an antique floor lamp that uses a mogul-base bulb. This bulb is approximately nine (9) inches tall. Was way too big for my floor lamp. It is not worth the money to return it for a refund, so I'll be creating a new lamp for this huge bulb. Measure your lamp and make sure you have enough height to handle this bulb in your application. I ended up buying a Phillips three-way 100-200-300 watt bulb, and it fits perfectly. And yes, I understand that this bulb is NOT a 3-way bulb--I normally do not utilize the 3-way switch on the lamp, so it is sort of a waste. Thought I'd go ahead and just get a regular mogul bulb.

For those who need Silver Bowl bulbs, which have been discontinued by all major manufactures, these work beautifully. Get a 42 ounce empty drink cup, place the bulb base down, and snug into the cup. Use high heat aluminum paint, and spray the top of the bulb, and then remove the bulb from the cup. Then energize the bulb. The aluminum paint will smoke a little for about thirty minutes, so make sure the curing process is done in a well ventilated area, but once it's cured, the results will be highly satisfactory. These bulbs are almost twice as bright as the Chinese imports.
