This a very bright lamp, especially the base. If you place it on a dark surface and in low to no light the base looks like the crystals are floating. The fiber optics are bright too. I wished it changes colors and had a timer on it. But you get what you pay for. Kids would like it. Haven't seen how long the batteries will last. Still overall a cool lamp.
