I bought these because I wanted the real 5 watt led color bulbs. Not the cheaper 3 watt bulb. The price is good for one bulb.

Colors are great with these! Been using the standard 25 watt incandescent color bulbs for years. I was never satisfied with the color they produced. They all had washed out color. These led bulbs produce pure perfect colors. They look great! A lot brighter then I thought they would be. I use them in ceiling cans in my home theaters. They run cool.

Now some clarification on how they work.

If you have more then one bulb on a circuit, controlling one will not control the others. Which is just what I wanted. They make these with a master/slave pack. They have a single control wire so one with control the other bulbs.

Settings are saved per bulb when you turn off with your wall switch. Some claim that they don't and go into demo mode. See below.

I'll try to make this easy to understand. I found this accidentally.

I set four bulbs on the same circuit to different colors. Then I switched off and on by the light switch on the wall. All the bulbs went into flash mode.

Then turned off and on again. Bulbs went into strobe mode.

Every time I switched off and on with the wall light switch, the bulbs changed mode and were synchronized.

To get them back to my original settings, I left the switch off for about 30 seconds. Not sure of the time needed.

So a wired light switch will control the mode of all bulbs. Which is great! No need to by any of the master/slave bulbs.

Lastly, there are 3 LEDs in each bulb. One for each primary color.

I really love this light bulb. I'm going to buy another one. I really do love this bulb lots of nice colors and brightness settings.

That being said: It has some quirks like the strobe setting causes it to lock up in that setting but turning it off and back on fixes that. Sometimes turning it off can even be hard in that setting if need be just unplug it then reset it. Also if power goes out then back on this bulb automatically turns on for some odd reason. So yes it can be quirky but I do not use the strobe setting I find that setting to annoying.

For a cool light with a rainbow of color settings to choose from & degrees of brightness for each color option and that it makes me smile... I give 5 stars.

Great in every way: Colors are "pure"-no separations in the spectrum, and all the colors can fade 5X, from high to low light, even in "smooth fade" mode!!! I want to buy a bunch lol

The bulb works great and the colors are greathowever, it didn't come with any instructions at all as to how to work it. So for setting it to a specific color or to do the cool things it supposed to doyou can't even figure out how to do it? So confused!
