We purchased this as a reading light for my elderly mother who has trouble seeing, but loves to read...usually in our sunroom but there is not much sun in the winter and the room has low lighting. Nice lamp, sleek, contemporary design and good quality construction. Only caveat was that the brightness setting was not adjustable. Only one brightness level. We needed a reading light which wouldn't be too obvious to see when not in use. This one fit that bill.You hardly notice it when it's turned off, I like the convenience of being able to twist it anywhere I like (even straight up if wanted) and it is a great light for reading.
The switch didn't bother me at all, but it is a little different from anything else I've seen. Trying to think how to describe it, I would say it is covered with rubber, at least a softer surface than you expect.
I would buy this again if I had use for another one!

Would give it five stars but the switch on/off has a certain way it has to be pressed or it won't work.But otherwise, once you get that down, it is very attractive, and you can point it whereever you want, right down onto your book in your lap for example.
Energy efficient.
