Incredible! I Bought 4 of these lights so far and I am planning to buy several more! After I got my first 2 lights, I put them through heavy use, including banging them around to see how they would hold up! No problemo they are rugged! Solar recharged, Hand Crank recharged, Solar recharged, Auto cig lighter recharged as well recharged in your home AC outlets. Exellant product for every day use, survivalists, emergencies. I have tried a few other lights like this one, but none of them hold up as well and DON'T have ALL the features like this one does. I GIVE IT A BIG "PLU5" 5 STAR rating.

When I tried to return this US incompatible product, I was told that it must be shipped via US First Class Mail with Tracking ONLY! This shipping method cost $22, almost as much as the product. They know that no one will take a chance and return this junk product and only net $4 back. This is their scam, do not let it happen to you.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM "CRAZY CART"

Pros:

1. Must be very tough because it was shipped in a soft envelope wrapped in bubble wrap and it arrived in working order not broken.

2. The light is very bright

Cons:

1. The AC adapter cord plug is the European style. Two round prongs, 250 volts. Useless in the US. So you CAN NOT charge this from an AC wall plug.

2. They give you the impression that the light will run off of 3xAAA batteries but that is not true. The 3xAAA batteries will ONLY CHARGE THE INTERNAL NICAD BATTERY, they will not run the light. When the 3xAAA batteries run down half way [2.25 volts] charging stops and you only get a half charge on the NiCad battery resulting in very short life.

3. The battery door latch broke off on the first attempt to open it. Now it just falls off.

4. Information on the box indicates that there is a USB charging port, THERE IS NOT ONE.

5. The Crank Handel is at a bad angle so that the grip moves back and forth in your hand as you turn. It is painful to crank for very long.

I would NOT recommend purchasing this lantern or anything from "Crazy Cart"!

This product arrived in perfect condition. We bought two more and then one as a gift for a family member that lives in an area that is hurricane prone. The product does everything it claims to and we could not get over how much light it give off. You could easily read by it and go about normal activity. The fact that it uses solar, has a crank, can use batteries and is able to be charged in your home or in a car is outstanding. We have other light sources for camping that do not come close to this and I would highly recommend it for emergencies and camping.

The actual lantern seemed like it was pretty good. Brightness was acceptable. Seemed like it would light up a tent just fine.

But the charger it came with looked like a BS 4573 plug, which will only work well if you happen to have access to a bathroom in Ireland. It's a European two-prong plug, useless in the U.S.

What's most disturbing is that a number of people have already complained about this. I assumed the seller would address the issue and make sure to send U.S. chargers to U.S. customers, but clearly they are just hoping to get rid of as many of these as they can, hoping most of us are too busy to send it back.

I returned mine. If you place an order today, you may just receive it, along with a European charger.

This lantern is a cheap piece of junk priced at least twice what it's worth. Mine arrived in six shattered pieces of plastic. The replacement got here undamaged but won't keep a charge (after spending $10 to ship it back). Would never in a million years survive a camping trip.
