Got a couple of these at my company's Earth Day even and... well, after a few weeks of operation it's not so bad in the sense that it works. This is an LED nigh light with a photocell that is turning it off during the day and on when it gets dark. I didn't open it up but it should have 2 LEDs inside. The 360-degree rotatable head (think of a plastic Christmas egg) allows you to point direct the light up, down or anywhere in between. According to the specs, it burns 0.3W per hour at 120V.
When it comes to quality, it's pretty shabby. It feels really cheaply built and on the 2 that I have one allows me to rotate the head easily while head rotation on the other is a struggle. On the other hand, the good thing about night lights is that once you plug them in you rarely touch them ever again so I'm not too concerned. I've plugged mine in a few weeks ago and they've been doing their job ever since.
My experience with LED night lights is that they do last for a long, long time but, as the time goes by, the light gets dimmer. I have other similar lights that, 5 or 6 years later seem to be less than half as bright as they used to be. But this is not a major concern either because I don't want my night lights to be too bright.
It's 3 stars (it's Okay) because they work (good) but the quality is rather bad.
