the E17 bulb always sold out in ikea. this one perfects matches the floor light's requirement. but, the bulb becomes hot quickly once turn the light on.

Why we ever needed an intermediate base is beyond me. But there it is. It wasn't until a light burned out in a new ceiling fan that I even realized, "Hey, that's not a chandelier base." Local stores, even one advertising itaelf as a "Light Bulb Store" didn't carry this simple bulb for my ceiling fan. So, this is where I came. This is exactly the bulb your ceiling fan probably uses and/or needs. Don't expect a too speedy delivery (that's why I keep several on hand). But the price is right and you're going to need it eventually.

This is described as a 40A15C 40W bulb. I am not an expert, but the packaging says merely A15, and it does not fit the light sockets for my fixture, which definitely want A15C. (These are too big.)
