I brought one of these lights recently and for the cost I was not expecting too much. The quality is a little on the poor side, and mine had one part of the battery terminals (I think that's what they are called)in a bit too far so the batteries were not touching. So I removed the batteries and used a pin to pull the terminal back into place, and reinstalled the batteries. From then on its worked fine.

I use mine with my kindle international, and if I clip it onto the case while its open like a book the light shines too far below the screen to light it properly, but when the case is folded all the way back, and the clip is on both sides of the case then it sits up fine, and works really well with no glare.

It does not add too much bulk to the kindle and it does not over balance it either. Other then the battery problem its been really good, and the robotic arm feature is actually pretty cool lol.

Basically it is a great light for the cost, and I would recommend it to anyone as long as they are prepared to fiddle with it a bit, and experiment to find a way to make it work properly for them.

This light cannot light the whole screen of a 6" Kindle. It shines on about 2/3 of it. I can't imagine reading with this light for more than say 30 mins. The page is just too dark.

Giving it 2 stars just because it actually works and could be used in emergencies.

Build quality is pretty crappy when I move the arm a bit the light loses contact and flickers in and out.

I would use this light only in emergencies, when I have nothing better available.

I know 5 bucks is not a big loss, but had I known what the light is like I would not have bought it.

I bought a cover for my Kindle and this little light was included, so I didn't really expect much. Yet, my expectations were completely undershot. It's a bit clunky and unwieldy to begin with, and once you do finally get the light at least near where it's needed, any movement of the Kindle causes the light to flicker. It's no wonder they gave this piece of junk away. Save your five dollars and buy a latte instead. You won't be disappointed that way.
