These are nice LED light bulbs. They are really bright, considering their 3 watts consumption. Of course, their 3-watts consumption make these light bulbs economical as well. I installed three of these light above a bathroom vanity mirror...facing down, which is must for the brighter light possible. Excellent product. Hopefully they'll last at last as advertised.

When you get this, it comes with a little plastic thing sticking out of the remote. Just pull it out and then the battery will make contact and work.

Be aware that the bulb doesn't have any on-board control. When the battery dies in the remote, you'll either have to get a new battery, or you'll get the default mode, where it cycles between colors. The good news is that the remote uses a standard CR2025 coin battery and you can get a top brand on Amazon for $1.29.

With the remote, you can do a few different kinds of color change, and get several static colors and I especially like the red, blue, violet and light orange colors. Like all LEDs the colors are rich and saturated -really beautiful. I have a genuine mock Tiffany Lamp -Louis Kmart Tiffany -that I've never liked because the glass colors are ugly, but with this bulb on a static color, it looks beautiful.

The dimmer switch works on any color with 2 additional levels of dim, and the dimmest is still brighter than my .3 watt LED nightlight, but it's a nice feature. For me, 3 watts is just about right for nice ambient color, without being overpowering. I don't know if it uses all three watts on the white setting only, but that is the brightest setting, with all the LEDs firing.

When you click the "off" button on the remote, it turns the light off, and remembers your last setting. You can turn your lamp off manually (without remote) too, of course, but when you turn the lamp on again, it won't remember your last setting. The remote needs to be pointed right at the light and within 5 feet or so. I looked at all the models, and I'm glad I got this one.

Although this LED Bulb says it's 40W replacement, it is as blight a 60. I'm very happy with it, will buy more.

I bought a bunch of these based on the previous reviews and the light is just not that bright. It is closer to a 40W bulb than anything else.

The light is a little bluish, and does not give off enough to read comfortably. I'm not sure about the lumins but it's a bit of a disapointment.

I put the bulb in a Ikea paper style lamp. It worked perfectly except certain colors were off from the shades of colors on the remote. I've always been edgy when turning the lamp on because I'm afraid this thing is going to burn my house down, but I didn't have to worry after a month because I tried to turn it on and it didn't work while a regular bulb did.
