If you enjoy your large bulbs, but hate the hundreds of watts they consume, buy these now! I bought these and another color and they are awesome! I have a particular yard ornament which looks great, but eats up a ton of electricity. They are bright, all of them worked and my energy consumption is significantly lower. I will recoup the cost of these in less than five years! They literally pay for themselves! Although LED technology is not ready for the house (the cost/benefit ratio is terrible compared to CFL and lots of places take the CFLs for proper recycling now), it is definitely ready for the Christmas light market! Make sure you are replacing incandescent C9s, since the new LED C9s are not individually replaceable.
