I bought one of these from a retail source and have found it very useful. You wouldn't want to use it on a caving trip, but for camping and working in dark places it's fine. After about four months of almost daily use the original batteries are still working. The primary drawback to this gadget is its fragility. To achieve lightness the designer used thin plastic. When it got knocked off my hat and hit the pavement, it seemed to shatter into about seven pieces. I sat down with it, found no broken plastic, and snapped the whole thing back together. It worked as well as ever. Weeks later it happened again, this time with more destructive results. A hot glue gun was all that was required to reassemble it. It's still working, and I'm going to buy two or three new ones soon to give to my friends. This is one novelty gadget that hasn't turned out to be a dud. If it were more solidly built I'd give it five stars.

I've been using these for early morning fishing trips when rigging my boat and tackle they work great. I bought a dozen and give them to friends when we're out. I also used them as stocking stuffers. My grandkids loved them particularly when set to flash.

Even though I read several reviews of how fragile the clips on this light were, I decided to purchase it anyway because many of the reviews stated this light was very bright LED and lasted a long time. This is true. I also discovered another feature not mentioned in any of the reviews I read. It has a flashing feature. I am not sure I will use this feature, but who knows, it may come in handy in an emergency. Good value for the price!
