This was given away as a gift and my time with it was limited but can tell you it has more modes than I expected. I actually wish it was dimmable as close work with a jeweler's loupe can induce a little "snow blindness" after just a few minutes. My only complaint is the lack of a second button to access the rarely used, hopefully never SOS, modes. Otherwise, a powerful flashlight that is pocket-able.
