I have been using my touch lamp to make those middle of the night bathroom trips without turning a bright light on. It has also been handy to use when I get dressed in the morning when it is dark and I don't want to wake up my husband by turning on a bright light. It is good looking and I call it my "fairy light". I did get one exactly like it that was not a "touch" lamp by accident, so be careful to make sure you are ordering the "touch" lanterna if that is what you want.

This is a remarkable little lamp. The lighting in our bathroom is bright, as it should be. We wanted something to use at night without having to turn on the vanity lights. This lamp works very well. When I'm watching television in my game room (my basement) with the ceiling lights off, this touch light is perfect for lighting up my snack tray. It's small enough not to get in the way and gives off just enough light to see how to operate the remote controls. It's battery operated so there's no cord to trip over. It's not a reading light and is probably too small to be used on your bed's night stand though. This will come in very handy in case of a electrical outage but there is no way that there is enough light to read by.
