Important Update: In August 2012, several of the 17 bulbs I ordered in 2011 burned out. I immediately contacted LightKiwi and they were extremely responsive and helpful. They offered to replace all of the bulbs free of charge with their latest model which was UL-certified. I sent back the old bulbs and received the new ones within a week. The new bulbs are even better than the old ones, being 9 watts rather than 6. The light is warmer and brighter and the dimming feature has been improved before, there was a subtle strobe effect when the bulbs were dimmed but that is absent now. These bulbs keep getting better. It's been almost a year since they were replaced and there have been no signs of trouble. I'll update this review as needed.

I originally ordered some cheaper GU10 dimmable LEDs and was disappointed by the harsh, bluish light so I searched around and eventually found these bulbs. They are more expensive, but definitely worth it if you want softer light. I can deal with harsh light on the porch, but it's unappetizing to say the least in the kitchen. These lights aren't quite as warm as halogen GU10 bulbs, but they are pretty good for LEDs. The light is relatively soft and relatively warm. I'm sure LED technology will continue to improve, but in the meantime if you want to make the switch, these are the bulbs for you. Plus, I'm sure LightKiwi is constantly working to improve their product so these bulbs will probably only get better over time.

Not much to be said they do what they say. About as much light as the 50W halogens I'm replacing, and a similar warm tone. The only potential problem is that they are a quarter inch or so longer than the halogens. They JUST fit into my IKEA lighting track, but it's a tight fit. Could be a problem for other fittings buy one and try it before buying several.

We bought three of these to replace some halogen bulbs that had burned out. They are nice, but we paid $11.00 per bulb here in early October. They run cooler and should last a long time. But the 100% price hike bums me out.

These Lightkiwi bulbs are IMO the best value for halogen replacement as of December 2012.

I originally bought some 'Lighting Ever' units in a misguided attempt to save some cash.

They were offensive blue laser beams unacceptable for residential lighting.

if you care about quality then suck it up and buy these lightkiwi's!

This light bulb had such a greenish glow that I was unable to use it in my kitchen track lighting. I would not recommend this bulb for use in any application where you need a good crisp light.
