Installed these lights after being very careful not to touch the metal tips with my fingers after reading about it. Two units went out very fast and I didn't use the lights often, so I had to replace them. Luckily I had spares with this purchase.

We have 2 halogen desk lamps, and the bulbs burned out in both within a week of each other. I've never bought bulbs like this before, so II was tempted to buy the branded Sylvania bulb. But it would have been $10 for 2 bulbs, and the reviews were so-so. So I took a chance based on the other reviews, and got 1 dozen bulbs for $8. They work just fine! And should they burn out quickly, i"m good for another 5 rounds of replacements. They arrived quickly, too. Good deal!

I really only needed one bulb but at the price for a dozen it wasn't much more so now my reading light will probably outlive me. You can't tell that they are frosted when they are lit and they are very bright. I'm happy with this purchase. If you need this size you won't be dissapointed with these bulbs.
