Purchase these over the 4 of G9 3w 270lm 5500k 6-smd 5060 LED Pure White Light Bulb (Ac 220~240v) Sencart. They are super daylight bright. Would have like if the LED had a cover over them, and that they were easier to install into a track lighting system, but we made it work. Purchased one of these to see how it would look in a somewhat exposed light fixture and was pleasantly surprised. It works every bit as well as the halogen bulbs and doesn't emit ANY heat, a real bonus for us Florida folk. I had two concerns, one the size and two the funky look. The bulbs are much larger than your typical g9 bulb as there is a lot of circuitry down at the base, a pretty typical component of LED lights. The base is about three times the width of a typical g9 bulb, the actual light is about 2 times the width of the typical bulb, and the whole thing is almost 3 times longer than a typical bulb. Fortunately, it did fit in the specific fixture I am using, but could certainly see how that would be a problem for some situations. The other worry I had is the looks. The things are pretty funky looking when they are off, but you don't see anything but bright light when they are on, so it isn't really an issue as long as your fixture hides the bare bulbs when it is off. So I ordered these $7 a pop led bulbs that supposedly replace G9 type halogens. Well, I received the bulbs 3 weeks later and they are 5 times the size of a G9. Sure, the base has the correct fitting but there is no way this led fixture will ever replace a G9. It will not fit due to size.
