My 5 year old likes a lamp or light and I felt her lamp was just too bright. We've tried a dozen night lights but none of them would do until we bought this one!! It doesn't emit too much light and it gives her something to look at. I highly recommend it!
Update (5 months later)
This light was a good transition piece for training her to sleep in the dark. Now she sleeps in the dark without a problem. This wasn't the intent when we purchased it, but it appeared to be a bonus.

I graduated my 3 year old from using the nursery butterfly light that always timed out! I love this light; I don't have to turn it on even! I hope this product lasts! I just love it!
