We bought these for our relatively tiny library room we wanted plenty of light but a small profile. These LED lamps fit the bill perfectly.
My wife was leery of the LEDs she likes a warm light, not a "blue" light but these have great color temperature. And they're quite bright they're supposedly 40-watt equivalent, but I think they're more like 60 or 100 watt. Best of all, they're dimmable with a rather clever push button on the base of the unit (it's that circular spot at the bottom of the square) tap to turn the lamp on, hold to cycle from brightest to dimmest and back again. When you let the long press go, the light "remembers" the setting, which is nice.
Super-easy to install, too took less than an hour to install 2 of them on opposite ends of the wall (measuring for spacing and level included). And the cords are quite long, which is great. They have plugs, BTW, which isn't explicitly stated anyplace I could find it. I was ready to wire them up, but I was hopeful that I'd just be able to plug them in, and for once, hope beat my usual streak of things being as difficult to do as possible. =)
They're pretty small (lamp head is about the diameter of a hockey puck, but only about 2/3 as thick as one), which is also nice. I feel like they were rather expensive, but they were also the only product I could find that had all the features I wanted. Wife and I are both very happy with our purchase.

We have two lamps on both sides of our bed. We have adjustable base bed frame and it was impossible to find modern style long arm lamps. I did a lot of research and this lamp was my winner. If you have modern taste and you support new technology LED this is the way to go.
