Got the light a few days ago and it works great. Only gave it 4 stars because battery didn't die yet so I don't know how it will work after I use the crank. I'll edit review if I have any problems. But light is bright, no problem with head gear. I think it's an awesome product.Best Deals for Mitaki-Japan® Wind-Up LED Head Lamp
You've got hand-crank flashlights, why not a headlamp? This one works very well. You have three LED bulbs, with three modes of operation: one bulb (when not a lot of light is needed), all three bulbs, and a strobe setting (with all three bulbs flashing). You can adjust the direction the light is pointed, and the crank is easy to use and produces a good charge. My only complaint (and it's minor) is that where the straps attach at the sides is a small gap where the straps can come unattached. At first I thought it was broken, but when I saw there was a similar gap on both sides I figured it must be by design, though I can't figure out why it is there. Because of this, I'd give 4 1/2 stars if I could, but since you can only give full stars, I have to drop to 4.

Works as it should but the output is terrible. So little light and was expecting so much more. Was terrible for the crawl space.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Mitaki-Japan® Wind-Up LED Head Lamp
I haven't tested the 'crank-to-light duration' ratio. However, I would consider the unit's output to be rather weak. It's Ok for a household task within 2-3 feet of the unit. Or, in a pinch, you could read a trail map if lost in the woods at night. But for anything beyond 2-3 feet, don't expect much light output. In addition, unlike some battery headlamps that I've tested from the "big C", this unit's 'head BAND' is comfortable, and not nearly as tight as other "big C" head BANDS.
