I cannot recommend this product because it has a design flaw which is obvious when you open the box. The fairly weighty snowflake hangs from the solar collection unit by a REALLY thin wire, there is no exterior strain relief which might relieve the stress of the snowflake swinging in the breeze. I ordered five of these and two have failed at the connection point inside the collector and the snowflake simply has fallen off. There is no way to repair it. The snowflakes themselves are as brittle as glass, when they fall they break into pieces. I threw the first one away and now the second has failed in the same way. I did not save the box so I doubt I will be able to send it back.
Here's my point: products today seem to be rushed to market seemingly without testing or oversight. Maybe because the sales of the ones which don't fail outweigh sales of the ones which break. It's too bad, because these look pretty when they work.
Oh yeah, for some reason this one costs $29.95 while the same one, also Amazon Prime, costs $39.95. Has Amazon gotten so big it simply misses such errors?

Update 6/20/13 I found the distributor's website and wrote them an email about the quality of their product. It was respectful, not obnoxious. They promised me "an immediate reply." Guess what, after two emails . . . .well, you know the rest of the story. Crummy product, crummy company.I am so impressed with the snowflake as it changes from blue to white. It is very unusual and stands out really well. Highly recommended
