These candles look and work very nicely as described...so much so that I ordered a second set of them right after I received the first set.....BUT, I noticed that my first set of candles stopped working after about 2 weeks, even though I had hardly had them lit up for more than 15 minutes in that two week period!! Apparently, what they don't tell you in the directions is that the candles use power from the batteries...even when they are turned off by the remote, if you leave the switch on the bottom of candles on...which defeats the purpose of having a remote...especially if you want to have the candles in a high, or not easily accessible location to turn off the switch on the candle every time you are not using it...unless you want to buy batteries every 2 weeks!! I bought 4 boxes of these, as I thought they would be the answer to my outdoor night lighting in my Moroccan lanterns. I thought that the remote would make things soooo much easier, because I would not have to turn off all the individual switches in each faux-candle. Apparently, the lithium battery life is not long AT ALL. After one night of leaving them all on for 6 hours and then turning them off with the remote, that was enough to burn out all the batteries. I am assuming that even though the remote switches the candles off, the actual switch is still in the ON position, and drains the battery. But in one night??? Really? That just seems extreme to me, as these are not heavy duty usage items. Anyway, I replaced all the batteries in all 18 (from the first order) and again, one night later, all 18 were drained and unusable. So this miracle candle with a remote is not the answer to my outdoor flicker light needs after all. Bummer.Best Deals for Frostfire Mooncandles - 9 Indoor and Outdoor Votive Candles
These are the only votive size led candles I have been able to find that have a timer function. Unfortunately it is only an off timer no 24 hour on/off timer like the larger candles, but thats still better than nothing. They have a very nice flicker pattern that is the most realistic I have seen in a small candle. Regarding all of the comments about poor battery life, they are all true. I've had mine for about 5 days and have used them for 4 hours a night. Two have died, one is about to die, and two others were dead on arrival. I ordered a pack of Energizers just to see how they hold up compared to the ultra cheap Chinese batteries that come with these...will have to wait and see.One other comment: although I didn't rate them down on this but in my case these took way too long to be delivered. The Amazon order confirmation said it would ship within 2 days and arrive in 4 TO 6 WEEKS!!! I figured that was a mistake, but after 3 weeks I contacted Innovationstore and asked how it could take so long (Pony Express maybe?). They responded that Amazon is wrong and delivery time only takes 7-10 days which seems odd since I had already been waiting for 3 weeks. In any case it finally came 10 days later (via regular mail) so in the end it did take over a month, but I suspect they actually lost my order and finally shipped it in response to my email, so hopefully your experience will be better than mine.
