PROS
* not fugly! looks like a regular vanity light bulb
(this was selling point for me; home improvement store had only ugly bulbs with metallic fins all over the place)
* color temperature very close to incandescent bulb; manufacturer says 3000° K, which looks to be about right.
* excellent efficiency (150 lumens, 1.7 watts)
* packaging protects product, but it's VERY easy to open (first ever for plastic clam shell packaging?)
* claimed lifespan (37.4 years based on 3 hrs/day)
* claimed yearly energy cost (20 cents per year based on 3 hrs/day and 11 cents/kWh)
CONS
* upfront cost per bulb
* may not be as bright as you expect (perfect for me, by the way)
I ordered 6 bulbs (for the somewhat ridiculous price of 4 Andrew Jacksons, including tax).
These are to replace the CFL (aka "twisty" kind, if you don't know) bulbs in my bathroom vanity.
I screwed one in at work and it is dimmer than a 45-watt Philips flood, but it's also using about 1/25th the power.
(Unscientifically, it looks like 1/2 or 1/3 the brightness.)
I will update this review when I have all of them installed and have used them for a few days.
By the way, Amazon's specs say 80 lumens. Manufacturer says 150 lumens.
SO I've included all specs from product packaging.
---------------
Model BPG25/LED
10 LEDs (Amazon says 28)
Brightness 150 lumens
Color Temperature 3000 K
Energy Used 1.7 watts
Life (37.4 years based on 3 hrs/day)
Yearly energy cost (20 cents per year based on 3 hrs/day and 11 cents/kWh)
UPDATE DAY 1
As advertised on the packaging, these light up instantly. No delayed start.
My bathroom vanity has 6 light bulb sockets total to light up the whole bathroom/shower area.
So far, I installed 3 of these LED globes next to the existing CFL bulbs.
The old CFLs are rated at 9W and, when fully warmed up, they a visibly brighter than the LEDs.
See the customer photo uploaded by user BVG.
Even if I only had 3 light bulb sockets, these might not be enough light output.
But seeing as I have 6, there's no question that these will be more than adequate.

Bought 12 of these for my bathroom remodel and they look great.Nice clean white light.
My "old" incandescent bulbs were using 300 watts (12 bulbs x 25 watts each) and after changing them out for these LED's I'm only using 15 watts total (12 x 1.3 watts each).
@ were broken on arrival and Amazon shipped me replacements immediately.
Great product backed by great service.
Ya can't go wrong.

I purchased these bulbs after reading another reviewer used them in their bathroom lighting. These would not fit in many fixtures, since they are rather large. However, for strip vanity lighting like you see in many bathrooms, these are very practical. They also look great in the vanity lighting array.I replaced 14 40w bulbs with these. Going from 560 total watts to 28 total watts is a significant reduction in usage! Additionally, these were a whiter light than the incandescent bulbs we were using, and more ideal for bathroom usage.
I am hoping we get a long life out of these bulbs, and if we do, they will be excellent value for the money.
