I purchased this light to use for work, as I work in crawlspaces and attics a lot. This LED light provides a fairly directional beam pattern, which is to expected for an LED light, but it is very bright and illuminates the area well. It runs on 3 AA batteries, I have only used mine for a few hours so far, so I can't speak to how long the batteries will last. It's light, but well built, so it will take some drops and rough handling. I will probably buy another one for use around the house and in case of emergencies. Overall, it was a great price for a good product.
