This light dims without any issues and I find the color rating accurate. We use this in a ceiling fan that has four 40 watt bulbs on top and a halogen underneath. What used to be 160 watts is now just 6.8.
The only thing I would note about the color is probably just true in general about dimmable LEDs. The color stays the same as it dims, but the halogen underneath gets much browner as it dims. When both the halogen and the LEDs are on full they look about the same, but when they are both dimmed significantly you can tell a pretty big difference.I needed a light to replace a nightlight sized bulb. I didn't see any dimensions, I just knew it had the right size base. It's a great light, just not what I needed. This bulb is at least 3 times bigger that a standard nightlight bulb.
