I agree with one of the previous reviews. You cannot switch this light off without cycling through the modes. If you want to maintain the bright mode, but just flash the light on and off intermittently, this light will not do it. As tactical light this is worthless.

Any of the Olight flashlights (like the M20) have the right functionality. You can first choose the mode and then simply turn the light on and off and it will stay in the same mode.

Okay I bought one of these from the internet. It did not say Ultrafire on the light but the boxes did and they were an Ultrafire charger and rechargable batteries. First of all the Ultrafire batteries are 3.7 volt... the absolute minimum operating voltage of this cree bulb is 3.6 volts so even when fully charged they are half the expected output. The second thing is the light gets very hot... very quickly. After changing out the rechargables with CR123A x 2 lithiums the light got much brighter. But comparing it side by side to my Boker FA3 460 lumen .... this light is actually about a 350 lumen on absolute highest setting. Its okay for $10 I guess but just know this light is no where near the lumens they claim it is. Buy a better quality light at 300 lumens and you will be better off.
