Clamp isn't versatile enough for my Weber Summit Grill -clamps awkwardly on the front side. Neck needs to be longer, hard to fit the cover over as it can't bend quite far enough to get out of the way. Would have preferred a floor stand model, but couldn't find one. The coiled cord is a nice touch.

I bought this light about nine months ago. I live in an arid placecentral Texas. The one review was spot on the base does rust immediately. I was prepared for that. I did love how much light this lamp produces and the length and flexibility of the lamp neck. But now the neck of the lamp is as rusty as the base and it looks horrible. I am very disappointed.

This lamp is well made and has a good inductrial cord that will stand up to weather. My only concern is the mounting clamp. It is vertical and which limited my attachment options. The lamp is not all that bright but it is fine for cooking on the BBQ at night.

I was looking for an electric BBQ light. Didn't want the low power, dim bulb that usually comes with battery powered ones. This light does a great job. Very solid lamp. Very bright. I'm leaving it outdoors as it states is is an indoor/outdoor lamp. But the package says don't operate when wet.

No complaints about the light, the flexible arm, or the clamp mechanism. However, the "stainless" base is actually made from a scientifically designed "hyper-extra-rusty" material that looks like stainless until it contacts oxygen, then instantly turns rusty-orange. The rest of the thing is rust free but the base looks horrible.

Update, November 2012: Pros: I've had this light for nearly 3 years and it still works just fine. Cons: The "brushed chrome finish matches any color barbecue", which is true only if your barbecue is rust colored. The base started to rust almost immediately after I took it out of the packaging, but after 3 years exposed to direct sunlight, rain, etc., the "weatherproof flexible metal neck" has long since lost it's clear plastic "weatherproof" sleeve and it's as rusty as the base. Now, I'm in inland San Diego here, not Michigan or Galveston Island where one would really test a weatherproof finish.

I wouldn't say don't buy one, but you may want to smear it in heavy axle grease or cosmoline periodically if you have a rust phobia.
