I like this light so far its not super bright but it will light up a dark room fairly well. I tested the battery life with the side light and it easily out lasted the 4 hours stated on the package. One thing I would mention is that its available at walmart for 29$ and thats where I got mine.

Seriously? I didn't buy this light on amazon, but these reviews should not be so poor. I have NEVER had issues with this light. I've had it for about 2 years now it still holds a charge for a long time. I think 6 hours is probably accurate. I use the thing as a reading light about 30 min to an hour a night and I don't have to charge it for over a week. I've dropped it from waist height on the butt of light. It sounded really rough when it fell, but I couldn't find any damage. I've taken it apart before. (I'm an engineer, what do you expect) Both the shell and the clear cover are about an eighth of an inch thick. This thing is built like a tank. It's not built cheaply as another reviewer mentioned. They could have easily gone down 1/16" thickness on the shell, but they decided to over design a little. I like that. It looks like ABS plastic and if it is, it's ideal for durability. The battery is NIMH. In my opinion this is better than lithium ion for this application. I almost went on for about a page on why it's better, but decided to leave that out. Just know it's a darn good flashlight for the price and I don't care what anyone tells me. I don't need anything fancy. I purchased one of these lights for work. This light is extremely bright and the charge is reasonable compared to the amount of bulbs involved in this light. This light charges fast and is quite bright, providing ample light to work in tight spots. There are however some serious issues with it, one a mere annoyance but in the end I cant recommend it and wont be buying a 3rd one.The Good:
Bright!
Seemed to hold a charge for a decent time period. I certainly didn't test the claims but it was on for extended periods of time when I used it.
The Annoying:
Its base is too narrow and being tall it falls over quite easily. Yes, it has a hanger and that's convenient but I often found myself having to stand it up and it constantly falls over....needs a bigger base plate.
The Bad:
Wont last. Period! As mentioned my first one just quite functioning one day ~2 months after I bought it (intermittent use). It would only work when plugged in but would not charge. I figure it's either a bad battery pack or a bad electronic component keeping it from charging. Returned it for my 2nd one as it was still within the return period. 2nd one lasted slightly longer...maybe 7 months but ended up doing exactly the same thing. This time, even though it's under warranty, I am not spending the money to send it back. I'll go another direction.
In the end it gets the job done but don't be surprised if within a year you unplug it from the charger to find it wont work.
