* Powerful (90 lumen) LED flashlight, extremely bright.
* Takes 3 AAA batteries, lasts hours, and hours (9.5) of continuous use.
* Turn upside down and point to ceiling, and will light up a room off of ceiling. Great during blackouts.
* This flashlight is of high quality.
* Heavy duty aluminum and they are tough (accidentally ran over with my car, still works great, no damage), and dropped on rocks and concrete.
* Water resistant. O-rings on the battery and lamp compartments, as well as a rubber membrane on/off switch on the end helps to keep water out.
* Length measures about 5", and diameter about 1.25" Weights 4.8 oz. with batteries installed.
* Front of light can be used for protection, not sharp but rippled edge put a pretty good dent in wood.
Coleman can't make them fast enough. I own 4 going back 6 years, all still working. Don't let the "Made in China" throw you; this one they got right!
I'm back ordering one now as a gift. Only way to guarantee you'll get one.
No, I do not work for Coleman.

I bought some of these prior to Hurricane Sandy, so they happened to be loaded with AAA batteries, ready and waiting when that storm and the next one hit. Being without power for more than a week, we gave these a workout and came away loving them. They are incredibly bright flashlights that run on batteries I always have around (AAA). They are blindingly bright, and I had to get used to how bright they were in order to use them to read things. You can easily stand them up on the butt end to illuminate a room -they are fantastic for that purpose, working better than lanterns I had going. I won't buy flashlights anymore that don't have a wrist loop, and these come with the the loop already attached. My one complaint is that the on/off button is on the butt end and not so easy to manipulate without using two hands. But everything else is so overwhelmingly wonderful, I cannot deduct a star for it. I bought more of these to keep on hand, plus a dozen to give as gifts. The other "flashlight" I came to love during the Sandy power outages was an LLBean Pathfinder LED Cap, which has three levels of light in a baseball cap. It lets you find your way in the dark hands free (or allows you to illuminate work in a dark, hard to see spot). I highly recommend both items.
