I'd be okay with the hue being a little blue, as it's in a purple bathroom, but the light is more blue than white and just looks odd. It also has too much of a delay when you turn the light switch on about 1 to 1.5 seconds. Thankfully, I only bought one to try before replacing all of the bulbs in the fixture. I knew ahead of time that the LED replacements are considerably larger and knew it would stick out of the fixture (meaning I had to completely remove the screen that diffuses the light) but I was okay with that. But I'm getting no benefit by upgrading to these lights, so back to standard halogen G9's for me.

The good news is that these lights should be saving me some money yearly compared to the 40W halogen bulbs that came in my lamps. However, "pure white," is laughable at best; they are very distinctly blue. Start writing your own review... the blue is the exact shade of the "written review" tab in which you'll be typing. They are also about three times the length of the halogen and twice the girth, so your lamp might have a hard time accommodating them. For my Sconces, Lite Source LS-16440BLK Orsen Wash Wall Sconce, I had to remove the protective shield that goes over the halogen bulb. Even then, they just barely fit with the shades tipped all the way to one side, rather than being able to adjust the shade wherever I wanted it.
