I bought three of these and replaced the regular incandescent 12v lights that were in an off grid cabin. The amp meter showed that the three incandescents were pulling several amps of precious power. But when I put in these lights they didn't even register on the amp gauge! Less than .1 amp for all three lights. Amazing efficiency.

The only downside is that they are an intense white and quite directional so its a bit too harsh of a spotlight effect for that 'homey' feeling, but at this efficiency I can't really complain. It's like having light for free.

Bulbs work well, no outages so far. The cool white version is very bright and crisp light. the warm white is still plenty bright but just that... warm and mellow.

These bulbs are used on my new garage scones lights. I wanted to save electricity and the best way to do this was to connect these lights up to my Mailbu outdoor lighting. Because it was low voltage I used white 12 gauge speaker wiring in the garage.

All my outdoor lighting is low voltage LED which gives me inexpensive security lighting.

I am using this bulb in a 12v off-grid solar application in Guatemala. It is much brighter than the incandescent and fluorescent bulbs we have been using (and uses less power). Requires much less voltage to shine brightly compared to the other types of bulbs. Have been using it for two weeks with no issues. Just ordered four more.

I've tried various brands/models of other 12V (including CFL) bulbs running them on a 12V-output solar-panel light system with Optima deep-cycle battery. Most bulbs don't make it for more than a few months (or even weeks for some). The incandescent bulbs are long-life, but of course they use more energy and run the battery down quickly. These LED units have been the best 12V bulbs so far, they continue working, they provide good light, I'm quite satisfied, I would recommend them!
