Like almost all solar lighting products on the market, this one fails miserably, and becomes landfill within a month. Worse, to change batteries (and replace the cheap, useless one that it comes with, you must disassemble the product. This did no good in my case, as even after replacing with a fresh battery, it failed to light. The reason, in my estimation, is that the circuitry, the "guts" of the light are not water tight. A little rain, a little sprinkler, a little heavy dew, and everything inside is wet. Not a good environment for electronics. Looked lovely for almost three weeks, then it died, never to run again. Save your money and the environment, do not buy these.;

I received one of these for my birthday and I love it! It gives off a soft glow (just as it is designed to do) and adds peacefulness to the surroundings. Remember, these are not intended to light up the area only to add ambiance. I enjoy mine so much that I plan to order several more to place in my "bee garden".

I have had this lantern for two summers and it has held up very well. I have not had to replace the batteries yet. I leave it outside through fall and store it inside during the winter months. My neighbors shed recently burned destroying a number of items on my side of the fence. The plastic ring on the bottom of this lantern melted (the top one held up) making it a hanging lantern only but it still holds energy and lights up. It held up through a fire hows that for durability!

And it looks great too. It offers up a soft warm glow that is nice to relax to in the cool of the night, at the end of a hot summer day.
