While these bulbs are decent quality in their workmanship, the design is flawed. Because the actual LEDs do not carry the light past the base, it casts a shadow below any vanity bar that is seated with the lights screwed in horizontally "base to the wall". If your vanity is set up to cast the light vertically with the base screwed in above the bulb's globe, it may work better, but not much.

After I bought these, I waited too long to return them or I would have. If you're seeking a comparable product that has a MUCH better design and casts light beautifully, I would recommend Utilitech Pro 4.5-Watt (25W) 199331 Warm White (2700K) Decorative LED Bulb. Because it has a piece inside the globe that actually pulls the light out beyond the base, it does a wonderful job and casts a much better and even light pattern.

If you don't like the price here, Lowe's carries them in stock for a few dollars less. In store, they run about the same as these bulbs, but are worth the extra buck.

I needed to replace the bulbs in my bathroom, the ones that go above the mirror, since the old ones were starting to burn out, and they generate a lot of heat and use a lot of energy. These were perfect, they go on immediately, and the color is good, and they don't get hot. Good energy saver so well worth the price.

I really need some good quality, WARM and energy efficient bulbs for a bathroom vanity that uses 6 of them. Currently, we use incandescent they make the bathroom ROAST, use a ton of power, and don't last all that long. We truly hoped these LED bulbs would be the ticket...

Not at all! The light quality is dim and cold not much better than a CFL. Hardly suitable for folks using the master bath for getting ready in the AM. My wife HATED these bulbs, simply because the light is so cold and unnatural.

To each his own, of course, but I can only give these bulbs a 2-star for the fact they worked and seemed good physical quality. But for a bathroom vanity light, they aren't it.

I've been hesitant to go for LED's recently because all of the ones I had seen before were dim and provided very little light. However, I've now tried several of the Feit Electric bulbs, including this one, and they've been brighter than the incandescent's they replaced. This particular bulb I bought in hopes it would actually last as opposed to the bulbs it replaced since it was above my sink and those bulbs would burn out after no more than 2 months. So far this one has lasted and it lights up the whole room, much brighter than before. Very happy with this bulb!
