It is hard to find LEDs that have wide beam angle, sufficient lumens and correct color. This one is just like a regular old fashioned light bulb.Best Deals for Kobi Electric LED Lamp Bulb Warm 60+ - 60 Watt Equivalent Warm
These bulbs are the exact same shape and color as your typical 60W bulb. If you're looking for a traditional lighting look to replace incandescent bulbs, these are perfect. Like all Kobi bulbs, these come in two flavors: warm and cool. This particular bulb is the warm version, which is what I prefer rather than the harsh white/blue look of the cool version.Despite being completely satisfied with these bulbs, I have to admit there is still a very slight delay before the light turns on: about a quarter of a second. However when it comes on, it's on at full brightness. This advantage (plus the additional power savings) has resulted in the replacement of all compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs in my house. I also tried a number of other LED bulbs before deciding on these, and these win in color, light distribution, turn on time (extremely fast) and warm up time (none at all).
These bulbs can get quite hot, especially on the aluminum cooling fins that make up the lower part of the bulb. You'll need to give them a few minutes after you turn them off or wear gloves if you're going to change the bulbs after they've been on for a while.
Regarding the previous commenter's review on these bulbs flickering when dimmed: that can indicate a problem with your dimmer. Not all appliances/switches have dimmers that are compatible with so-called "dimmable" LED and CFL bulbs. If your dimmer doesn't work with these bulbs, it won't work with any LED/CFL bulbs at all. If the dimmer is separate from the appliance, you can replace the dimmer with a modern one to enable your light to become dimmable. We have the "Warm 40 A19" (40W equivalent) variety of these bulbs in our bedroom ceiling fan and they dim perfectly.
